Small-part separation without breaking the pallet module
A 3020 crate earns its place where the goods are small and the mis-pick cost is high: fasteners, electrical components, spare parts, pharmacy lines, high-value retail. Keeping each line in its own crate is cheaper than sorting a mixed one.
Because the footprint divides cleanly into the larger sizes, 3020 crates can be used as dividers inside a 6040 crate or as a standalone layer on the same pallet. That is the advantage over a non-modular small box: nothing is wasted at the pallet edge.
At this size, depth matters less than lid fit and stackability — a small crate that will not stay put on a moving pallet is more trouble than the space it saves.
